The Great Fire kept on spreading because it was a September and because the months before it where very hot this caused dryness and drought which would of made the fire spread very fast, The Houses were very close together and nearly all of them were made of very dry wood, Tinder. The other 2 main reasons why the fire kept on going is because the wind was blowing to the most populated part of London and people didn't have water in there house they had to pump it out or go to the nearest well, which was out of order so they had to get the water from the Thames, But the Thames was very smelly and the mud outside it was very slippery so some people were not that successful collecting water.
